Il Lombardia 2026: the Entry List has been Announced

07/10/2026

The big appointment with Il Lombardia presented by Crédit Agricole, the final Monument Classic of the season, is fast approaching, and the 25 teams lining up for the 120th edition on Saturday, 10 October, from Bergamo have announced their riders for the race.

The Il Lombardia weekend will get underway on Friday, 9 October at 5 p.m. with the team presentation at Sentierone in Bergamo.

The race will see the search begin for Tadej Pogacar’s successor. After five consecutive victories, the Slovenian was ruled out following a crash at the recent Vuelta a España. Among the leading contenders are two of his teammates: Brandon McNulty, who claimed the road world title in Montreal, and Isaac Del Toro, who made his Il Lombardia debut last year with a promising fifth-place finish.

The rider who has come closest in recent years is Remco Evenepoel, runner-up in both 2024 and 2025 and recently crowned European champion. He will lead an ambitious Red Bull – Bora – Hansgrohe team, with Primoz Roglic as its second leader.

Britain’s Tom Pidcock, the MTB world champion and sixth on his Il Lombardia debut in 2025, will also be one to watch, as will the European vice-champion Giulio Ciccone and French youngster Paul Seixas, who finished seventh last year.

Potential outsiders include Michael Storer, and Quinn Simmons, who finished third and fourth respectively in last year’s edition, as well as Matteo Jorgenson and Italian riders Christian Scaroni, Davide Piganzoli and Giulio Pellizzari. Also on the start line will be Bauke Mollema, the 2019 winner, who will compete in the final race of his career.
