A 5-star Pogačar, the numbers of a phenomenon
Tadej Pogacar became the first cyclist to win a Monument five times consecutively as he took his fifth Il Lombardia in as many participations to the classic of the falling leaves. He attacked on the Passo di Ganda, dropped everyone, and soloed away to Bergamo. Once again, Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep) had little to no answer and finished second, while Michael Storer (Tudor) impressed with a solid third place.
